Description
Why add deck mounts to your tiny house trailer?
By adding a set of 4 deck mounts to your tiny house trailer chassis long wall, you create a place for easily attaching a deck to your tiny house, once it is parked in position. When you secure the deck to the tiny house, as they settle over time, they settle together. This means that you will maintain a flush entry to your tiny house from the deck. (If the deck is completely separate from the tiny house, and they settle into the ground at different rates or in different directions, you can stub your toes on the lip that appears… ouch! )
What is a deck mount?
A deck mount is a small ‘U’ shaped piece of metal that is welded to your tiny house trailer. It comes in a size that accepts either timber or steel members. There is a hole drilled on either side of the deck mount for your choice of fastening method.
How many deck mounts will I need?
Long side of trailer (4.8 Meter long trailers up to 8 Meter long Trailers): 1 set of 4 Deck Mounts.
Put the deck along the wall where your external door is positioned (usually on the passenger side of the trailer). This gives you a place to attach timber or steel members of your deck structure to your tiny house.
When filling in the quote request form, tell us which side of the trailer you want the deck mounts on.
Deck mounts can be fitted to all 4 sides of your tiny house, but most tiny house builders get them on either one or both long sides of their tiny house trailer.
